The goal of JCCUSTOMZ, is to enhance the user’s driving experience by offering the best performing and highest quality automotive products and installation possible. High-performance driving and automotive modification carry inherent risks. Customers are therefore encouraged to familiarize themselves with the specifics of their car manufacturer’s warranty and any applicable local emissions regulations prior to making a purchase decision.
High-performance driving can be very dangerous and may result in injury or death. JCCUSTOMZ makes no representations or warranty about products protecting against injury or death.
Car modifications of any kind (including software alterations) that facilitate high-performance driving may reduce or limit the life of your car and any of its wearable parts and could result in damage to the car. JCCUSTOMZ is not responsible for damage of this kind.
Unless otherwise noted, products sold by JCCUSTOMZ are intended for off road and racing use only and have not been tested or approved by any international, federal or local governing agency for street use. In addition, although every effort is made to have zero negative impact on emissions, these products may not be legal for sale or use on UNITED KINGDOMS pollution-controlled motor vehicles and are not intended or applicable for highway use. JCCUSTOMZ makes no claim of fitness or certification for such use.
Understanding the inherent dangers to life and property (including your car), and the legal requirements and limitations regarding the use of these products is the sole responsibility of the user. JCCUSTOMZ liability is limited to the original purchase price of the merchandise.
Legality: Some products are not sold for street use in any locality where regulations prohibit use. Unless otherwise stated, JCCUSTOMZ does not make any claims for street legal use of these products. Products sold for racing use may never be used on a public highway. Any situation arising from or liability occurring from the use of any item purchased from JCCUSTOMZ is solely the customer’s responsibility.
Warranty: JCCUSTOMZ branded products may be backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser. Certain third party products may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Any such warranty will be set forth in writing. Unless otherwise reflected in writing, products sold carry no express or implied warranty. Racing products are not covered by warranty due the excessive stress they get put under.
Tuning Disclaimer
Overview: I confirm that my vehicle has been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation including relevant cambelt changes / timing chain maintenance and that the vehicle is in FULL and TOTAL roadworthy condition.
We carry out a brief visual inspection and diagnostic scan of your vehicle as part of the process. This will not provide a definite conclusion on the condition of mechanical components such as turbo, engine, gearbox etc. Therefore, no warranty is given or implied to any components on your vehicle before or after the mapping process apart from the ECU, as this is the only component we directly work on.
All of our engine and gearbox remaps are tested to the highest standards and are very reliable with over 35,000 vehicles using our software across multiple countries. However, engine parts that are subject to wear may be prone to failure after tuning. Common failures include but are not limited to clutch, dpf, turbo, coil packs, EGR valve and MAF sensor. These are all serviceable items that would usually require replacement as part of good maintenance. BM Performance Limited, do not accept liability for any mechanical part failure before, whilst and after performance tuning and we do not offer any type of warranty for your modified vehicle.
Carrying out a remap on any car without a thorough health check first is at your own risk.
We expect that vehicles are in good working mechanical order without error codes stored in the ECU that will affect the results of the remap. If we find such problems, we will advise that the problem is fixed before the remap.
It is your responsibility to know if your vehicle is previously tuned prior to your visit. If we find your vehicle has already had a remap you will be advised on what options, you have as this can affect our ability to carry out the remap.
We always try to first use the easiest and least intrusive method to tune your vehicle but, in some instances, we may have to remove and open your ECU.
